Welcome to the Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative (SVORI) Multi-site Evaluation website. This site provides detailed information regarding the evaluation activities associated with the Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative. RTI International and the Urban Institute are conducting the comprehensive implementation, impact, and economic evaluations.

What's New:
December 8, 2010: To assist researchers who are interested in responding to the National Institute of Justice’s Data Resources Program solicitation (see http://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/sl000964.pdf), the Item Catalog for the offender data collected for the SVORI Multi-site Evaluation is now available on the evaluation website.

Note that some variables may not be made available to protect the confidentiality of the respondents. The determination about which variables will be available in a Restricted Use file and which will only be accessible through the ICPSR Data Enclave is still being finalized. Data will be available from the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data in early 2011. When available, the data will be accessible only through a Restricted Data Use Agreement or the ICPSR Data Enclave.
March 25, 2010: All final reports from the SVORI Multi-site Evaluation are now available. Final reports include an Executive Summary, Methodology Report, Cost-Benefit Analysis Report, and outcomes reports on Adult Male, Adult Female, and Juvenile Male participants in the SVORI Multi-site Evaluation.
